Day 20 YXist 28DC

Day 20 - YXist 28 Day Challenge 2014

And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert.

And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship, was returning, and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the prophet. Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot.

Acts 8:26

Hi, welcome to Day 20 of the challenge.

Today we're gonna talk about "Do what you know."

And we're gonna read in Acts 8 and we're gonna start with verse 26.

It reads: "And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert.

And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship, was returning, and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the prophet. Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot."

We're talking about "Do what you know."

What we have to do is seek God in our life for every decision.

Sometimes we feel like we're not hearing from God about something, and the problem is that He's told us one thing to do, but we've ignored that step and we're trying to jump to step two.

But in every decision, in every instruction from the God, we have to do it step by step.

We have to do step one before we can go to step two.

Otherwise, you will stop hearing from God because you haven't been in total obedience.

Total obedience means start with step one and then get to step two.

In these verses we read the Lord told him to go to the desert first.

If he would have skipped and would not have gone to the desert, he would never have gotten to the chariot to fulfill what God told him to do because step one was to go to the desert.

So in every situation, remember, you have to follow God step by step throughout the entire process.
